Bab 25: Should I run away again?

Zuri enjoyed her ice cream while daydreaming, unable to sleep all night as she thought about Amelia's words. Last night, after Amelia had made that statement, Amelia had left her. To cheer her up, Zuri took Anya for a walk. Zuri asked Anya to buy her different kinds of food, from sweet to spicy. The food she tasted was something Princess Elara had never seen before. She wondered, and Anya, knowing that Zuri had experienced mild memory loss before marrying Liam, understood. Liam had explained this to Anya before Zuri entered the Hayes' home.

Anya patiently explained to Zuri, or rather Princess Elara's soul, about the food she saw. After enjoying burgers and pizza, Zuri also asked for chocolate and ice cream.

"Miss, are you daydreaming?" Anya asked, holding Zuri's hand to keep the ice cream from falling.

"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking about what I told you last night," Zuri replied, explaining what was on her mind.

Anya smiled.
