Bab 23: Free or imprisoned

When the car arrived at its destination, Zuri quickly got out and walked down the stairs. She was eager to meet Simon and tell him about her inner turmoil. Of course, in Zuri's or Princess Elara's eyes, Simon was Axel.

"Miss, be careful," Anya warned Zuri, who nodded, eager to meet Simon. They had arranged to meet in a private place, making sure that no one reported or knew of their meeting. Since Zuri had been introduced as Liam's wife, everything about her had to be kept secret.

Simon appeared and smiled when he saw Zuri. He hugged her immediately.

"How are you?" Simon asked softly and thoughtfully. Zuri felt the pleasure of his kindness. She returned his hug with a happiness that could not be expressed in words.
