Bab 59: The Echoes of Tomorrow

"Do you think we did enough?" Sarah's voice trembled as she stared at the now-quiet garden, the vibrant flowers swaying gently in a breeze that felt almost mocking. "What if he comes back stronger?"

Alex squeezed her hand, the warmth of his grip grounding her. "We faced him, Sarah. We stood together. That's what matters."

But deep down, Sarah felt the weight of uncertainty pressing on her. They had battled the Keeper, but the words of Damian echoed in her mind, twisting like a knife. What if they weren't ready for what was to come?

"Look!" Alex pointed towards a shimmering path that had appeared behind them, winding deeper into the garden. "Maybe we can find answers down that way."

Sarah took a deep breath, pushing aside her fears. "Let's go. We can't stay here."
