Bab 32: The Abyss

The sound of the car engine came into my ears steadily beneath me as we drove through the unknown road. I had no idea where I was being led. All I knew was it wasn't going to be good.

I could feel the vibrations under my feet, but with the bag still covering my head, the world felt distant. 

I couldn't see anything, couldn't even tell if it was day or night. My heart raced wildly, every second stretching out into eternity as my mind thought of the worst possible scenarios.

Bruno was unpredictable and I couldn't think of anything else apart from praying I survive whatever this attack was.

What was Bruno planning? Was he going to kill me?

I tried to focus on the sounds around me—the low murmur of voices, the sound of fabric, the occasional bump as the car sped down the road. But there was nothing making sense, nothing that could help me figure out where we were or where we were going.
