Bab 9: Chapter 6 (Continued): The Malfoy Revelation

As Lucius sealed the letter meant for Voldemort, his mind was racing with possibilities. This revelation about Saber Howler—formerly Harry Potter—was more significant than anything they had ever expected. For years, the Malfoys had been walking a precarious line, balancing their loyalty to Voldemort with their own family's survival and legacy. But this news—this was a shift in the entire wizarding world's balance of power.

Lucius set the letter aside and turned to face his wife and son, his expression hard and calculating. "This is not a simple matter, Narcissa," he said, his voice low but intense. "Saber has been raised with the belief that we are his enemies. If we make one misstep in approaching him, we could lose everything."

Narcissa, still seated at the table, nodded slowly. She had regained her usual composure, but her mind was turning just as rapidly as Lucius's. "He's been poisoned against us by Dumbledore's lies. But that can be undone. If he knows the truth now, it will be the first crack in the walls Dumbledore has built around him."

Lucius walked to the fireplace, his fingers drumming lightly on the mantel as he considered their next move. "Voldemort must be informed before we make any approach. He will need to understand the gravity of this situation. Saber Howler is no ordinary boy, and the power in his bloodline will be crucial to ending Dumbledore's reign."

Draco, still reeling from the shock of everything, cleared his throat. "But how do we convince him, Father?" His voice held the tension of years of rivalry with Harry Potter, now turned into something far more complicated. "He's not going to trust us, not right away."

Lucius turned to his son, his grey eyes cold and calculating. "We won't start by asking for his trust. That will take time. What we need is an opportunity to show him that we are not what Dumbledore has led him to believe. If he sees that we are not his enemies, the rest will follow."

Draco frowned. "But how do we show him that? He's always hated me. And we've... well, we've never exactly been on good terms."

Narcissa looked at Draco thoughtfully, her expression softening. "Draco, you may be the key to reaching him. Despite everything that has happened between the two of you, Saber is your peer. You've spent years together at Hogwarts, and while the relationship has been rocky, there is still a way to connect."

Draco stared at his mother, unsure. The idea of reaching out to the boy he had once tormented seemed impossible. But then again, everything had changed. "You think he'll listen to me?"

"He may not listen right away," Narcissa admitted, her voice calm and measured. "But he will need allies now more than ever. If we approach him with the truth, if we offer him our help—he may see that we are not the enemy Dumbledore painted us to be."

Lucius folded his arms across his chest, his gaze fixed on Draco. "This will require delicacy, Draco. We must handle this carefully. Saber's entire world has just been turned upside down. He will be vulnerable. Confused. If we move too aggressively, we risk pushing him further away."

Draco nodded, though uncertainty still gnawed at him. He had never been one to show vulnerability, and the idea of opening up to Saber—of showing him any sort of empathy—was foreign to him. But deep down, Draco understood that this wasn't the same boy he had known. This was someone who had been lied to, manipulated, and kept from the truth his whole life.

And now that truth was coming to light.

"If we can appeal to him as family," Narcissa said softly, her voice filled with a quiet intensity, "then perhaps we can help him see that we are not his enemies. That Dumbledore has been the one controlling him all along."

Lucius's eyes narrowed, his mind already working through the potential strategies. "We will need to make him an offer he can't refuse. Something that shows we are willing to support him without strings attached."

Draco raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

"Information," Lucius replied smoothly, his lips curling into a thoughtful smile. "We know more about Dumbledore's manipulations than anyone. If Saber is truly free from Dumbledore's control now, he will want answers. We can give him those answers—show him the full extent of Dumbledore's lies."

Narcissa's eyes flickered with approval. "And we must be careful not to demand too much from him too soon. If we overwhelm him, we risk alienating him further."

Lucius nodded. "Precisely. We must approach him with caution, but also with confidence. If we can show him that we are not his enemies, that we want to help him... he will begin to question everything Dumbledore has told him."

Draco was silent for a long moment, digesting his parents' words. His mind drifted back to the image of Harry Potter—the boy who had always stood in opposition to him. But this was no longer about childhood rivalries. This was about something much bigger. Saber Howler was part of his family now, and the connection between them ran deeper than blood.

"I'll do it," Draco said quietly, his voice firming with resolve. "If it helps take Dumbledore down, I'll reach out to him."

Narcissa smiled faintly, her eyes softening as she looked at her son. "You're stronger than you realize, Draco. This will not be easy, but you will have our support."

Lucius, too, looked at his son with approval. "Good. We will wait for the Dark Lord's response, but when the time is right, we will make our move. And remember, Draco: this is about more than just your rivalry with Potter. This is about shifting the balance of power in the wizarding world."

Draco nodded, though the weight of his father's words pressed heavily on his shoulders. He had never expected to be thrust into a situation like this, but now that it was here, he knew he couldn't back down.

As the candlelight flickered softly in the grand dining room, a sense of purpose settled over the Malfoy family. They were no longer simply players in a game controlled by Dumbledore and the Ministry. They had a new role to play—one that could change everything.

The silence that followed was filled with unspoken understanding. Lucius would contact Voldemort, informing him of the revelation, and they would wait for his guidance. In the meantime, they would prepare.

"I'll start drafting the letter to Saber," Draco said after a long pause. "I don't know how he'll react, but... he deserves to know that we're here if he needs us."

Narcissa smiled softly. "He may be wary, but he will see the truth in time. We have to believe that."

Lucius placed a hand on Draco's shoulder. "We've raised you for moments like this, Draco. Do not doubt yourself. This is the path that will lead to a new beginning—for all of us."

Draco took a deep breath, feeling the weight of his father's words. He wasn't just a boy trying to live up to his family's legacy anymore. He had a part to play in the future of the wizarding world—and perhaps, just perhaps, in helping a boy who had once been his enemy discover the truth about himself.

As the evening grew darker, the Malfoy family stood together, united in purpose. The road ahead was uncertain, but they had always thrived in uncertainty. And now, with the revelation of Saber Howler, they had a new role to play in the battle for the future.
