Bab 66: Should I Join You?

Hugo crept toward the bathroom door like he was sneaking into a dragon's lair, each step slow and deliberate.

His heart felt like it was about to leap out of his chest, and his palms were so sweaty he had to keep wiping them on his shorts. He could hear the shower running, the steady stream of water hitting tiles.

When he reached the door, a sweet, heavenly smell hit him like a warm hug. It was soft and floral, with just a hint of something creamy and luxurious. Hugo froze, his eyes widening as he sniffed the air.

"What… what is this?" he whispered, inhaling deeply. He shut his eyes, letting the fragrance invade his senses. "Is this… Lisa's scent? Is this what she smells like all the time?!"

His mind went into overdrive, painting vivid, ridiculous pictures of Lisa stepping out of the shower with her skin glowing, her hair dripping, and sparkles floating around her like she was in a shampoo commercial.

He clutched his chest dramatically.
