John's POV
"I know how your power works, Kilgrave. The range, the limits—I've figured it all out," I said, watching his discomfort grow. He didn't like that I was calling him out.
"Take your position," I told Frank. He glanced at Kilgrave, then at me, before moving to the corner of the room.
Looks like he caught on to what I was planning.
I wasn't lying when I told Kilgrave he made a mistake going after us while we're working together. And, yeah, maybe I've gotten a little attached to Daredevil and Frank. Sure, we don't talk much, but still. There's a connection.
I shifted my focus back to Kilgrave. He was trying to keep his cool, but I could see the cracks.
"One shot, and it's over," I said, my voice cold. "Frank, want to show us just how good your aim is?"
Kilgrave's eyes widened in panic. He started making muffled noises, trying to say something through the tape. He knew none of us were messing around.
Daredevil stayed silent. He wasn't about to stop this—not when we needed answers.
"Don't move," I warned Kilgrave. "Or the next bullet finds you."
Frank didn't hesitate. The rifle fired with a deafening crack. The bullet flew just inches past Kilgrave, splintering the wooden edge of the bench he was tied to before slamming into the wall infront him.
Kilgrave flinched hard, his eyes wide as saucers. He got the message loud and clear—one wrong move, and he was done.
"Now," I said, stepping closer, "I'm going to take the tape off your mouth. And you already know what'll happen if you try to pull anything."
Kilgrave's breathing quickened, and I could see him debating his options. Should he risk it? Try to use his powers and make a break for it?
Daredevil shifted slightly, taking his stance. He was ready in case things went south.
I didn't care what Kilgrave was thinking. I ripped the tape off his mouth in one quick motion.
One second. Two seconds. Nothing.
He didn't say a word.
If he wasn't such a coward, he probably would've tried something by now. But he wasn't stupid, and I'd read him right.
Opening the bottle, I locked eyes with Kilgrave. "No drama," I warned, my tone sharp.
He didn't say anything, but the panic in his eyes was clear. When I reached for his mouth, he tried to pull away, jerking his head in a weak attempt to resist.
"Stay still," I said, voice steady but with an edge that made him freeze.
I forced his mouth open, ignoring his weak struggles, and let two drops fall from the bottle before snapping it shut.
"Now, let's start simple," I said, stepping back. "What's your name?"
"Kevin Thompson," he answered instantly, his voice flat and robotic, but his eyes betrayed his shock. He hadn't meant to say it, but the truth spilled out anyway.
"How old are you?"
"Twenty-eight."
"How did you get your powers?"
"My parents experimented on me which gave me my powers," he replied, his voice steady but his expression flickering with unease.
There was a beat of silence as the weight of his answer hit the room.
"What happened to your parents?" I asked, my voice colder now.
"They're dead."
"How?"
"I controlled them to kill themselves."
Daredevil stiffened, muttering under his breath, "Monster." His tone was low, disgusted, as if he couldn't believe what he'd just heard.
I glanced at him briefly, but my focus stayed on Kilgrave.
It's look like he is similar to mcu counter part rather than comics but with some differences .
he didn't have his father anymore to increase his power level.
"How many people have you killed with your powers?"
Kilgrave hesitated for a split second, but the potion didn't let him hold back. "More than a hundred," he said, his voice hollow.
Daredevil's hands tightened into fists, his jaw clenching. Frank stayed silent, but I could see the anger simmering beneath his calm exterior.
Kilgrave's face twisted, torn between shock and resignation. Even he couldn't believe the words spilling out of his mouth, but he was powerless to stop them.
"Did you ever fall in love with anyone?" I asked.
"No," Kilgrave answered bluntly, his tone as lifeless as his expression.
"Of course someone like him doesn't love anyone," Daredevil muttered, his voice sharp with anger.
I ignored the comment and pressed on. "Did you ever want to marry anyone?"
"No," Kilgrave replied again, without hesitation.
I caught Daredevil shifting slightly, probably confused about why I was asking questions like these. I didn't bother explaining.
There was a time, though—a time Kilgrave claimed to love someone. A girl he controlled. I'd read about it. He let her go once, probably thinking it made him noble, but she ran the moment she could, disappearing without looking back.
What he didn't see coming was the child she had. His child.
"Why did you come after us?" I asked, my tone sharp.
"Kingpin asked for it," Kilgrave replied, his voice mechanical but steady.
"When?" I pressed.
"Ten days ago."
"How?"
"His man came to me with photos of Daredevil and Punisher," Kilgrave admitted. "He wanted me to kill them."
I raised an eyebrow.
'That was around the time I started working with them,' I thought to myself. Kingpin's original targets were just Daredevil and Punisher—not me.
Not that it changed anything.
I shifted gears, focusing on another thread. "When did you meet Jessica?" I asked.
"Four months ago," Kilgrave answered, his tone flat but immediate.
"How?"
"I saw her fighting some thugs," he said, his reluctance obvious, though the truth serum forced the words out of him.
"Did you make her kill someone?"
"Yes," he admitted, the word slipping out before he could stop it. His face twisted, a mix of shame and defiance, though it didn't make him look any less monstrous.
Daredevil stiffened, the air around him turning cold. "You made her kill," he muttered, his voice tight with restrained anger.
Frank's grip on his weapon tightened, the faint creak of leather gloves audible in the tense silence.
I didn't need to look at him to know what he was thinking.
This was just the beginning. I had more questions to dig into.

Someone reviewed Story is boring,
Story may be slow but I don't want mc to get templates of Omni man and other op characters early, it will make mc handle most of the situation easily which I don't want .
