Bab 58: Chapter fifty eight

Sophia sat on a bench under the gazebo in the compound of the mansion, enjoying the serene atmosphere. The warm sun cast a gentle glow on her face, and the soft breeze rustled her hair. She closed her eyes, letting the peacefulness wash over her.

Suddenly, a bucket of water poured over her head, drenching her clothes and hair. Sophia's eyes snapped open, and she turned to face the culprit.

Valerie stood before her, a feigned look of surprise on her face.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I was watering the plants and accidentally spilled it on you," Valerie said, her voice dripping with insincerity.

Sophia's eyes narrowed. She knew it was no accident.

"Why did you do that?" Sophia asked, her voice calm but firm.

Valerie shrugged. "It was an accident, so don't make a fuss about it. You're being dramatic."
