Marcus swallowed hard. "W-We're supposed to bring the girls and send them to a nearby location just before midnight. Some others meet us there at the same time. It's close by—I can take you there."
Elion nodded, his tone icy. "Fine. We'll wait here for the time to arrive. But if I get there and find nothing, two of you won't be walking out of this alive."
Elion waited in the same spot for a few hours, the minutes ticking by until midnight drew near. He finally stood. "All right, time to move. You four lead the way, I'll be right behind. Don't even think about running, or you'll regret it."
The group nodded in unison, fear evident in their eyes, and began leading him toward the designated location. When they arrived, Elion scanned the area. He quickly noted the presence of at least five different groups, including the one he had coerced into bringing him there.
