Bab 179: Chapter 45: The Counil of Elders

The following morning dawned crisp and cool, the faint mist from the early hours lifting as the sun crept over the valley. George woke early, his mind already focused on the day ahead. He knew they needed more than just training and drills to fortify New Haven; they needed knowledge, understanding of the dark forces they were up against.

With this in mind, he had requested a meeting with the town's elders, a group of survivors who had been with them since the early days of the apocalypse. These men and women had seen their fair share of hardship and had insights that George hoped might provide some guidance.

The elders met in the old library, their gathering place for discussions that affected the community's future. George entered the room, greeted by nods and murmurs of acknowledgment from the seated elders. Marcy, though not officially an elder, was also present, her calming presence adding weight to the room.
