George stood on the mansion's balcony, surveying the construction below. Makeshift tents dotted the landscape, and several houses were nearing completion. The sounds of hammering, sawing, and the clatter of tools echoed through the valley. Survivors from Harrisburg, once broken and battered, had found new purpose, working tirelessly to build homes and reclaim a sense of normalcy.
