"Where… where is this place?" I asked aloud, but the silence was my only reply.

I sighed, then slowly stood, brushing off the dust clinging to my clothes.

"Huh?" I blurted, startled as my fingers grazed my hair.

"Damn it…" I muttered, rubbing my temples as the memories of what happened clawed at the edges of my mind.
