"Although I said earlier that Raine might not be involved, it doesn't mean that other people won't be involved. As it seems, the Hilary's plans to ….." Irene started telling Briar about another conspiracy that the shameless family was planning.

The more she listened to the matter, the angrier she became. Briar clenched her fists angrily at the thought of such a plan succeeding.

"Do you know when they plan to execute it?" Briar asked anxiously as she looked at Irene with hopeful eyes.

Irene grabbed Briar's hands suddenly, looked at her in the eyes and responded reassuringly, "Don't worry. It's not this soon, but they plan to do so before the year ends. I will keep on monitoring them as well. I have started to gather dirt on them. Before they attack your family, they shall be the ones suffering a loss."

Briar heaved a sigh of relief when she heard that, but then her eyes turned cold as a sly smile appeared on her face.
