Briar wasn't expecting to see Eugene out of all of Lyra's friends.

Eugene was the outspoken of them all and she was too good with her words. However, she was no longer in the state of trying to please the children, especially their friends, just like when she was the nanny.

She was someone whose last name, when changed, would be Meyer, so why bother fawning on a teen?

When Lyra saw Eugene, she felt like she had seen her savior. She couldn't help but look at her with sparkling eyes, calling out, "Eugene! There you are!"

Eugene, having no clue as to why her friend was acting strangely, especially with that happy tone, could only smile brightly as she played along.

"Yep. Didn't expect to meet everyone here!" she said smilingly, her gaze landing on Briar, who exuded elegance, especially with that harmless smile on her face.
