The patrol wagon rattled along the rocky road, and the guards scanned their surroundings vigilantly as if expecting a threat to emerge at any moment.
With the verdict passed, I and some other prisoners were transported to a remote facility in the north.
I heard the guards chatting before, that as long as they could safely pass through the outpost of the canyon entrance, their mission would be completed.
When that happened, I knew I would no longer have a chance to live in the outside world.
