From the outset, the True Dragon Gathering divided and labeled the participants, proving Bobby's opinion that nothing about it was fair. Just getting into the competition was supposed to be a great honor, but he felt a lot less special when a White Pass hung around his neck. Most of the prodigies had a white true Dragon pass. Those who had reached the top 300 in the last True Dragon Gathering wore bronze passes, those that had been in the top 100 wore silver, and those that had been in the top 20 wore gold. Even above the gold passes were the ones worn by the five Apex prodigies. Regardless of whether or not they had been in a True Dragon gathering before, they all had gold passes with the everything image of a dragon.
