Lu Xiao came out of the room when Qin Youling was busily working in the courtyard.
The courtyard was supposed to be cleaned routinely, but since it had been unoccupied for a long time, there was nothing lively except for the large tree.
The original flower beds and vegetable patches had gone wild, with nothing but soil and some decaying vines and leaves.
"I moved some flowers in from outside, they should look better in the flower beds," she said.
"There are also vegetable patches on both sides. I just saw a few packets of vegetable seeds in the storeroom, though I'm not sure if they're still viable."
"You start plowing the ground, and I'll soak the seeds," Qin Youling said as she handed Lu Xiao her hoe.
Lu Xiao did not refuse; he rolled up his sleeves and began plowing.
Having done plenty of farm work as a child with his master, plowing was still quite simple for Lu Xiao.
