The evening sky had settled into a deep, velvety hue, a blanket of stars just beginning to sprinkle the heavens. The last hints of daylight had long since faded, leaving the world below in the soft embrace of night. 

Inside the luxurious hotel suite, the ambiance was one of opulence and indulgence, the space dripping with wealth in every detail. 

The suite's grand windows framed the darkened skyline, but the only light came from the subtle glow of lamps, casting a golden warmth over the room.

Kellan lay sprawled across the king-sized bed, his posture relaxed, a satisfied smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. Draped over him, Kiera—his mistress—rested in the sheets, her body tangled with his, the fabric barely covering her skin.
