Bab 21: Chapter 21 Not Quite Adapted

"Thank you for giving me a ride home today." Lin Xilin opened the car door and got out, then leaned down through the window to thank Zhou Mingchen, "If you hadn't been here, I might have had to wait a very long time."

"Hmm, it's cold outside, go inside. I'm leaving."

Zhou Mingchen quickly turned the car around and drove out of the residential area.

Through the rearview mirror, he saw Lin Xilin standing at the doorway, watching his car leave for a long time before turning and entering the gate.

"Huh!" He exhaled softly, relaxing, suddenly feeling a surge of dark pleasure.

Receiving her message out of the blue, he was both angry and excited. Angry because Lu Zuo had actually left Lin Xilin alone in the business district late at night, without any care, a treatment she probably had never experienced in her life; the pleasure came from the thrill of revenge that he felt within his heart.
