VERNON CLENCHED his eyes, and hand shut. Clearing his throat, he stilled himself as he slowly turned to Luella. Her eyes brightened as she expected him to respond to her question.

"I am sorry, my lady, but I don't know what you are talking about. I am merely a knight of the Rhinelander's dukedom." Vernon lied. He deepened his voice, making it sound a lot huskier and deeper than it was meant to.

Luella rolled her eyes hard at him. "I have lived in the grand dukedom. I know the place like I know my house. They don't have knights. I know you are Vernon, Vernon." She said, stating the fact.
