Bab 147: Chapter 147: If Negotiations Fail, We Can Always Just Flatten the Rain Village

"Let's see if I can flatten your Rain Village today."

Other people might be scared of Hanzō, but Takuya wasn't. Poison? Sure, it could be dangerous, but only if it could reach you. And Hanzō wouldn't even be able to get close, so what good was his poison? Was he going to poison his own people?

If Hanzō couldn't touch Takuya, nothing else he had would work. He'd just stand there and watch Takuya blow the whole village to bits.

The only downside to Thunderblast was that it used a lot of chakra each time. But Takuya? He had chakra for days. He figured that in a few years, he could even go head-to-head with Hashirama Senju if he wanted to.

And let's not forget, Snowy was still sitting on his shoulder.

It wasn't even an exaggeration to say Takuya could spend all day blowing up the Rain Village until it was flat. No joke.

Hanzō's poison was supposed to be his most terrifying weapon, but it was useless if it couldn't touch Takuya. As for his fancy taijutsu and his speed? Those didn't matter either if he couldn't get close. His instant movement might be fast, but if he couldn't reach Takuya, it was pointless.

And if he tried, Snowy would probably smack him across the battlefield, just like when they dealt with Manda.

And other ninjutsu? Well, let's just say Takuya didn't want to hurt Hanzō's feelings by bringing that up.

And, on top of that, Takuya hadn't even used his Mangekyō Sharingan yet. If it came down to it, Takuya could squash Hanzō without breaking a sweat. But he preferred not to use his Mangekyō if he didn't have to. He'd rather keep it under wraps until his eyes evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō. After all, the downside of using the Mangekyō was the risk of going blind, and he didn't really want to deal with that.

So for now, he'd rather expose Snowy's power than overuse his Mangekyō.

"When I get the Eternal Mangekyō, then I'll really show them," he thought.

Unlike most of the Uchiha, Takuya had an edge—he didn't have to worry about going blind permanently. Once his Sharingan evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō, his eyesight would come back anyway. But in the meantime, he wasn't eager to find out what it was like to go blind.

That's why he avoided using his Mangekyō Sharingan unless absolutely necessary.

"Art is an explosion!" Takuya muttered with a grin. "So, here's the deal, we can either settle this with a nice little chat, or I'll just blow the Rain Village off the map. Either way, my mission will be complete. I mean, this is my first mission as a Jōnin. What's it going to be, Hanzō?"

Takuya knew how to put the ball in Hanzō's court. Either they'd sit down and negotiate peacefully, or Takuya would just go ahead and flatten the place. Either way, his mission would be done. Plus, he'd probably rack up some extra merit points for causing all that destruction.

"You think we can still negotiate after all this?" Hanzō growled, glaring at Takuya.

If Snowy weren't there, Hanzō probably would've taken a swipe at him by now. Takuya had already blown up parts of the Rain Village's walls, buildings, and even some of its ninjas. And now, he wanted to negotiate?

"Well, if that's how it is, then I guess we're not negotiating." Takuya shrugged and turned to Snowy. "Keep him in check. He might want to watch the art of destruction firsthand. The Rain Village could go down as the first hidden village to be leveled."

"Got it, boss," Snowy replied, hopping over to Takuya's other shoulder, his eyes locked on Hanzō.

Any funny moves, and Snowy would strike.

Hanzō's expression was grim, his eyes flicking from Takuya to the gathering ball of lightning in his hand. The casual way Takuya was preparing another attack made it clear—this wasn't a bluff. Hanzō couldn't afford to sit still any longer.

"Wait!" he shouted, lifting a hand in surrender. "Fine. I'll negotiate. Just… stop destroying the village."

"See? Was that so hard?" Takuya said, dispersing the lightning ball. "You could've saved us both a lot of trouble if you'd just agreed earlier. Some people just need to be pushed around a bit."

Hanzō's face was dark, but he didn't argue. He could tell Takuya wasn't like other shinobi who'd just posture and make threats. No, this one would absolutely keep blowing up the village until there was nothing left.

Tsunade elbowed Takuya lightly, whispering, "Alright, enough. Don't push him too far. He's the kind of guy who holds grudges, and you don't want him coming after you later."

Takuya might be able to blow up the village, but Hanzō wasn't a pushover. If they couldn't kill him now, he'd come back with a vengeance, and he had enough poison to cause serious trouble for Konoha.

"Whatever. I've done my part. You handle the talking," Takuya said, stretching his arms. He'd made his point and didn't care much for sitting through the actual negotiations.

"Follow me," Hanzō said stiffly, leading them into the village.

The Rain Village wasn't a place Takuya had ever seen up close before. Thanks to the constant rain, the buildings were mostly steel and had a gritty, industrial look to them. They towered high, and there weren't any basements—most of the space beneath the village was taken up by massive drainage pipes.

With the war raging on and the recent damage from Takuya's attack, the streets were mostly deserted. People peeked out from their homes, watching the group pass by.

Compared to Konoha, the Rain Village had a cold, iron-clad feel to it. It was like a city made of steel, but one that had seen better days. The buildings were rusty and crumbling in places, and nothing seemed well-maintained. Hanzō was obviously struggling to keep the place together, and after the explosions, it looked even worse.

Hanzō's face stayed stony as he led them through the streets. Rain Village shinobi scrambled to tend to the injured and clear away the bodies—some of them reduced to little more than piles of bloody meat.

Takuya wasn't the only one watching. The Anbu members with them were experts in gathering intel, and they didn't miss a thing. It was clear that the Third Hokage had sent them along not just for protection but to scout the village for information.

Hanzō knew that too, but he didn't say anything. He had enough on his plate.

As they walked, Takuya caught Hanzō eyeing Snowy nervously. He was clearly rattled by the little white fox on Takuya's shoulder. Hanzō didn't know what Snowy was, but he knew enough to be wary.

"This thing… is it a fox? A nine-tailed fox?" Hanzō had no idea what Snowy was. He couldn't find a single scrap of information about it, but its resemblance to the Nine-Tails was unmistakable. It was unsettling.

Eventually, they reached the Rain Village's main building. It stood in stark contrast to the rest of the village—well-maintained and sturdy. At least Hanzō still had some pride left.

"Please, take a moment to rest. We'll begin negotiations shortly," Hanzō said as they entered the meeting room.

The Anbu stayed outside. Tsunade didn't object. They didn't need the Anbu in the room for the negotiations—besides, with Takuya there, she doubted Hanzō would try anything.

Still, she shot Takuya a few glances, hoping to get a sense of his plan.

I have a lot of chapters my Patreon because of that I'm willing to release up to 50 chapters this week on this platform. However, there's a challenge! For every 500 power stones, I will drop between 3 to 10 chapters. The faster you reach that goal, the more chapters you get—if you manage to hit it within an hour, I'll release the full 10 chapters right away. Good luck, and let's see how quickly we can reach those goals!

Note: If you're interested, you can read up to chapter 245+ at patreon.com/ Emik01. Don't forget to give a power stone for many bonus chapters
