When Zina simply stared at Daemon with her jaw dropped in disbelief, he frowned even harder if that were possible.

"I guess you're too prude to understand the language. What I meant to say is that if I had sex wit…."

Zina's hand flew to cover her ears as she screamed that he should stop already. His frown morphed into a glare at her visceral reaction, while Zina returned the favour with a glare of her own.

It turned into a glaring contest, and while Zina could understand why she was glaring at him, she didn't know why he was. And that peeved her more than she expected it to. It was then that she felt a hotness at her fingers, and one look down, and she found herself gripping tightly at Daemon NorthSteed's fingers like he was her lifeline… which he was not.
