Bab 38: More Rituals, and Important Mission

Performing that ritual was never something I enjoyed. It was a strange and disgusting experience. They used the stone knife to carve bizarre symbols onto the bodies. However, it granted me the power I desperately sought.

I believe anyone would have done the same in my position, in pursuit of such power. I'm not proud of it, but I did what was necessary to ensure the survival of my village.

After completing the ritual, I secured some additional benefits. Although I yearned to learn new skills, the tribesmen had none to teach me.

Nevertheless, I was satisfied with the increase in my attributes. I gained two points in strength.

Two points in strength might seem insignificant, but they made a noticeable difference to my body. For someone with only seven points in strength, two extra points meant an increase of almost 30%.
