"…just give me a couple more minutes Captain."
Sebas gritted as he peered at the alluring nurse and her luscious frame.
She had driven her claws through the obsidian pole. Snapping it in two.
There was a bright red flash of light as the Calamitous Will held within spilt and then dissipated into the atmosphere.
'Crisis!'
Sebas cursed as he held his bleeding side. The nurse had dug her claws into his black leather armour, drawing blood. He had failed to turn his skin into dark wood at the last moment, so now there was a deep wound on his chest.
Still, he knelt unfazed, he could handle at least this much.
He held it tightly as he gathered his Will to seal it up. It took time and focus, but the predatory gaze of the blonde nurse kept him on his toes.
"Well, now that's over and done. Why don't we have some fun."
She said, her voice smooth and tempting like honey. She had her tongue out glossing her cherry lips as she walked forward.
"How about we don't."
Sebas squealed with a nervous chuckle at the end. As she approached with the light striking of her red heels tapping against the concrete roof.
The next moment she shot forward impatiently with her claws on full display. She had barely reached Sebas though when she suddenly came to a halt with a frown.
She raised her right hand and scanned. It started slowly from the tip of her claws. Their reflective surface was now slowly losing its lustre as dark wood spread from them.
"What did you do!"
She snapped turning to face Sebas with her fangs out and dire hiss spilling from between her lips.
"A trap Spell I call Dracov. I placed it on the array right before you got up here. It's designed to turn you into wood."
Sebas replied as he rose to his feet with a slight smile.
"It's slow."
She said with a smile.
"…yeah. A bit."
He as he adjusted his glasses and stretched out his arms.
"Then I'll just kill you before the spell finalizes."
With that, the fiendish nurse shot forward. While Sebastian turned his outstretched arms to wooden blades.
They met moments later. The nurse went in for a slash to the neck and Sebas was quick enough to raise his wooden arm for a block.
He parried and went for a slash of his only to get his head hit by her wooden arm.
The blow sent him a couple of steps back, with a dire concussion. Thankfully he had the body and soul of a Cardinal so that much wasn't enough to keep him out of a fight.
Unfortunately, it had slowed him down enough for the nurse to capitalize with a series of punches, kicks and slashes.
Sebas was on the back foot swallowing all she threw at him. He only raised his wooden blade when her claws risked digging into his vitals.
Still, she drew blood but was unable to kill Sebas. Her entire left arm was now made entirely out of dark wood, stiff and frozen in a predatory pose.
'Just a lil bit longer.'
Sebas gritted as he slowly got to his senses. There was too much at stake. Immediately Sebastian went on the offensive. He tried piercing. Taking wide steps with the point of his wooden hand driving forward.
The nurse tried to break through the solid stance but what followed was a wack on the head from Sebastian's other arm.
The spell was spreading to her shoulders so the nurse was only getting more desperate. She lunged forward discarding her safety as she leaped into the air.
'Dammit!'
Sebas cursed. She was getting more desperate and her attacks even more lethal.
She turned into a whirlwind of claws and red heels. She continuously struck Sebas everywhere except where mattered. He was thought to protect his vitals above all else and that was what he did.
Eventually, though she managed to slip through. She faked a slash for his throat instead her fingers clasped together to form a pale spear of glistening sharp claws.
Sebastian's eyes widened in shock as he watched her drive it into his chest. He managed to catch her hand at the last minute. Preventing from doing too deep.
Cughhhh!
Sebastian spat a mouth full of blood as he held onto her arm.
"Don't worry I'll make it quick."
She grinned revealing her lengthy canines.
"No. I'll make it quick."
As he said that Sebas grabbed hold of her hands with both of his. His wooden hands held tightly onto hers, and then it began to spread. Like a tree branches out, his wooden arms latched onto the nurse.
Her face twisted into a hideous scowl as she fought back. It was too late though the branches had already grown on her reaching and digging deep into the concrete roof, while it branched out to form a miniature tree over her head.
Sebastian pulled his arm out when he was sure she wasn't moving. Her face was still revealed so she laid all the curses she was accustomed to.
After a bit, even her face had turned into a wooden sculpture.
Sebas barely had the time to slouch, despite how pressing it seemed. Slowly he dragged himself over to the obsidian pole that lay in shambles.
"What to do?"
The pole was of obsidian stone. One of the most valuable ores currently. It was found out that the black stone had the ability to absorb, harness and transmit both Calamitous and Celestial Will. So over the years, they were applied to every facility deemed fit.
One of the priceless stones of many applications was sealing the inherent Calamitous Will of the Ill-born.
Right now the obsidian pole was connected to an even larger obsidian stone that naturally existed in the mountain. The Stone was already pumped full with Calamitous Will and so the government built a base around it and harnessed the power it held.
It was then later engineered to feed the arrays enough power to form a force shield. One that would be impenetrable unless the Will returned to its owner…
Sebas stared at the broken poke and sighed. It'll be difficult but not impossible. He reached out into his leg pouch as he scanned the array.
Moments later he had a black gem with a chain holding onto it like a pendant. It was the charm given to an Ill-born to suck their Will.
"Not how I was told to use it but what can I do."
Immediately Sebastian placed it in between the two broken obsidian poles and began to release his Will.
After a while a red stream of energy shot into the clouds and soon a red barrier was forming.
Soon the manor was hidden behind a red dome. Safe from the puppet army.
Sebas had a bright smile lining his lips as he stared at the magnificent dome. He could already hear the chants and cries of the guards below when suddenly he heard.
'Good job kid.'
"Well–
"It was nothing—" when a deafening roar resounded throughout the entire mountainside.
As the roar shook the trees even the shield seemed to flutter.
In fact, it kept on fluttering as the wrathful screams of the abominations further down the mountain seemed to directly influence the fluttering shield.
"What's going on over there Captain?!"
'Dammit Sebas. We're not done yet.'
Faux stated in panic, betraying his usually playful tone.
