WHEN KI Gayoon looked around, he realized that the "scenery" changed.

He was back at the Esper Facility that "raised" the First Generation of Espers.

To be precise, he was back in his "chamber" that looked like a psychiatric ward.

Everything is white.

"Oppa, can I stay here in your room again?" the young Lee Sarang asked meekly while walking towards him. "Mother scares me."

'Mother.'

Haaah.

Gayoon smirked bitterly.

I can't believe I had to hear that name again.

There was only one person that all First Generation of Espers referred to as 'Mother'— and that person…

"Sarang-ah."

Gayoon called Lee Sarang the way he did when they were younger— when the kid was still a crybaby.

Well, I guess she's still a crybaby.

"Yes, Oppa?"

"Mother is dead."

Lee Sarang looked shocked, obviously. "O-Oppa, what are you saying?"
