Bab 13: Chapter 13: Winner
The Fire Veil: Staff mode, is simply John enveloped by Biwu flames that heal and protect him while burning everything that he wants to burn or can harm him.
The flames become stronger the more essence is put into them, but this also means that they are weaker with less essence, so John can only currently produce flames at his level, he can't just burn a dragon casually.
Well, until he is strong enough, that's it.
{A/N: Small info:
The essence changes in base at the strength of an individual, for example:
If a F Rank adventurer uses 10 units of essence, and E Rank one only needs 1 unit for the same result.
So the stronger John gets the more he can do with his fire since it's alimented by the essence inside of him.}
After powering themselves, the two men looked at each other and slowly walked around in a circle, waiting for the other to show even a small opening.
'There!' John gaze sharpened as he saw Volnis take a wider step to surpass a small uneven crack on the ground, causing his guard to shift momentarily in a small window frame.
But that was enough for John who dashed leaving a trail of fire behind him as he used the flames small combustion time to propell himself forward.

Volnis frowned and firmly stepped on the ground while unleashing a fast and powerful chop towards John who met the attack with his staff.
This time the clash was many times stronger than before causing a loud ringing sound all over the arena, while breaking the surroundings contemporary.
The two soon disappeared as they travelled all over the ring clashing continuously, John was faster and skilled while Volnis was a bit slower but stronger.
John spinned the staff on top of him while in the air, thus creating a big ciclone of flames around him, Volnis was forced to back up but he was not inferior as he unleashed a war cry.
"GRAAAAAAHH" He smashed the axe on the ground creating earth spikes that travelled towards John, increasing in height as more got created.
John placed his left hand forward and condensed the surroundings flames info an extremely hot sphere on his palm, his entire face contracted for the strain as he hurled the ball towards the spikes.
The sphere flew while spinning with a high heat that melted the earth spikes, but this was enough for Volnis to appear behind John with his battle axe over charged with essence.
He used the cover the spikes gave him to raise some blocks from the ground and leaping from one to another, quickly coming behind John
Volnis unleashed the attack without holding back while John propelled himself with a burst of fire on the shoes soles, gaining speed and with his staff he met the attack head on.
This was a critical clash!
Booom
The attack generated a sonic boom as the adventurers covered themselves in essence to not be affected by the aftermath.
Two figures flew from the dust created by the clash, they were the two contestants who suffered injuries, but they got up immediately with their fighting spirit still burning.
John split some blood out of his mouth while the Biwu flames already begun to heal him, but Volnis didn't have this luck, but thanks to his resilience he didn't lose focus on the battle.
Their eyes were looked into the other, suddenly! A spike broke from the ground towards John who let the flames on his body melt it without removing his eyes from Volnis.
"Hm.. youre strong John, Cona city will have another talented young seedling." Volnis praised the minecrafter who smiled and responded: "You're not bad either, old man.'
Volnis frowned and shouted: "I'm only 24! Don't you see my youthfulness!?' he looked aggrieved while John was speechless.
"....."
Looking at that rough appearance, every other race other than the dwarves looked at Volnis weirdly.
'He looks old as fuck!' was everyone thoughts.
Volnis with his mood ruined again raised his battle axe in the air causing a big earth hammer to grow from the ground and smash towards John who created a flame hand that grabbed the hammer while he pointed the staff towards Volnis.
'Grow.' He commanded mentally, he was low on reserves now so it was time to end this.
Boom!
Volnis feeling something was wrong, immediately raised a wall, but that was not enough as the staff grew extremely fast and shattered the wall easily, cleanly hitting his belly.
But that was not enough as the staff exploded into flames that turned into binds around him, locking him strictly, while the earth hammer that was firmly gripped by the big flame hand crumbled.
!!!
Everyone was shocked at the turn of events, they didn't expect that the battle would turn like this.
John walked towards him and said: "The battle was entertaining but I'm hungry so it's time to end it." His words made Volnis lower his head in defeat, the blow of now completely incapacitated him.
How?
John used an advanced ability of the mod he created, a will infused attack.
Basically like haki. John was capable of using it after momentarily unlocking it during the near death experience against the shadow ant.
So he tried using it again today, succeeding but this consumed his hunger nearly completely.
The guild referee raised his brow for a split second, he recognized the traces of will on the attack: 'Aura? Impossible!' he denied it: 'only the nobles and strongest adventurers know of this technique, how can a commoner know it!'
The guild referee decided to observe this man more in case he really has aura. He walked towards the two and grabbed John hand while looking at all the spectators, he then raised it and announced: "We have a winner!'
"Wooooohooo"
"Yeah! Hahahah"
"Damn! My money!"
"Heh, who cares, I'm rich."
The spectators erupted into loud noises, some cheering for John and others cursing at their bad luck, John smiled and released Volnis who staggered a little before regaining equilibrium.
The battle axe glowed and returned into the big hammer while he signed, he lost and that was clear, John walked to him and the two looked at each other.
"I had fun, and now i will enjoy the money with a big smile." John spoke while giving his hand to Volnis for a handshake, wich he accepted: "You really like money eh?" The dwarf commented while smiling.
"Of course!" John laughed and walked away, it was time to take his money, he called the referee that was waiting for him and spoke: "Man, my money!"
The referee signed and responded: "My name is Alex, just call me that." John nodded while Alex turned around and walked away while inviting John to follow him.
Muwi jumped from the women and ran towards John, jumping on his head soon after.
....
The trio soon walked inside an office where a guild employee walked inside leaving a box before leaving.
Alex sat himself behind the desk and invited the duo to take a seat in front of him: "Seat, since we're already here i can register you to the guild."
