Long Yu nodded, and his voice was filled with deep sadness when he said, "You may not remember me, but I have always loved you from the first time I saw you. The first time we met was when you were trapped under the mutant tree. I was the one who pulled you out of the belly of the mutant tree."

"By the time my team arrived, everyone was dead except you. I heard your faint cry for help coming from inside the mutated tree. When I pulled you out, and you passed out in my arms, I felt I had to protect you."

"From that moment on, I have been looking for you. I'm attracted to you, but all you care about is your family. When we met again, you didn't even remember me."

Hearing this, Yao Ran's eyes widened. She wanted to see his expression when he said this, but he buried his face in the crook of her neck.

After a moment of silence, Yao Ran muttered, "So it was you who saved me."

Long Yu nodded, "Yes."
