Bab 20: Classic Butler Artificial intelligence

Wally's gaze lingered on Jesse as she exited, and he couldn't help but smile with a sense of achievement. However, the feeling didn't last long as the weight of his responsibilities settled on his shoulders.

The safety of everyone he knew and cared for rested in his hands, and when the time came, he knew he had to be ready to defend them against any threat.

This thought made him sigh, reminding him of his first goal—a Thinking Cap. No matter how high someone's intellect was, the Thinking Cap could elevate it further, and with that, all other plans would flow naturally, and difficulties would be reduced significantly.

Things that were previously incomprehensible or limiting would no longer be a challenge. However, Wally had to admit his own shortcomings. Despite the resources and knowledge he currently possessed, he couldn't fully utilize them. That's where an AI came into play.

Simulations could be run, mistakes averted, and plans and time easily managed. An Artificial Intelligence was one of the most crucial tools he needed to move forward in this world. With Dominator tech and knowledge at his disposal, his journey into advanced technology had just begun.

Shaking off the thought, Wally left S.T.A.R. Labs at breathtaking speed, arriving at his secret hideout shortly after. Glancing around instinctively, he made sure he wasn't followed before entering the building.

Spread across the pristine, metallic surfaces of the room were parts of machinery and wires that would soon form something far more ambitious than anything he had ever attempted—his own AI.

He had spent weeks gathering pieces of both Dominator and human technology, carefully siphoning data from the Dominator mothership during his previous encounter with them.

With great effort, he had isolated key algorithms from their system—patterns that demonstrated an advanced understanding of quantum computing and biological interfacing.

"I hope this works," Wally muttered under his breath, excitement and trepidation coloring his voice.

He rolled up his sleeves and approached the central console, where a holographic interface flickered with lines of complex code.

Dominator tech wasn't designed to be user-friendly—it had taken hours just to decipher the language. Now, he was reworking it, layering his own coding knowledge on top of their structures to create something entirely new.

The heart of the AI would be a crystalline core—an amalgamation of human-engineered quantum processors and bio-computing.

This was Wally's own innovation, inspired by the fusion of technology and biology. The core pulsed faintly with a dim, bluish hue as he placed it into the central compartment of the machine.

"Energy source, partially in check. Next… connection wiring," Wally muttered to himself as he began threading thin copper wires around the core.

Research on Dominator energy sources that rivaled the output of the sun couldn't be furthered—it was too dangerous and could result in a city-level explosion.

The AI would still function on the energy core he had created, which focused on efficiency and output. Though not at full capacity, it would be capable of handling various tasks.

Moving onward, Wally connected the wires to a series of nanotransistors, each imbued with trace amounts of tachyons harvested from his earlier experiments.

This would allow the AI to operate at speeds even human thought couldn't match—processing thoughts in nanoseconds and calculating predictions before they were fully conceived.

He took a step back, admiring the partially assembled framework. The body of the AI wasn't a traditional robot. It was more fluid—a network of holographic projectors, physical interfaces, and virtual systems.

Honestly, it looked more like a box with multiple wires connected to it. They were all tied together by a synthetic neural network he had painstakingly built from scratch, thanks to his clones.

The holographic interface would allow it to adapt and shift form depending on the need.

The coding process, however, was another beast entirely. Wally's fingers hovered over the keyboard, tapping rapidly at superspeed as he input lines of code—some in the language of the Dominators, some in human code, and others gleaned from his discussions with Gideon.

Wally's hands moved with speed and precision, each line of code tailored to handle billions of operations per second. He integrated adaptive learning algorithms, neural pattern recognition, and predictive modeling. Every step had to be perfect.

"Initiating core AI processing," Wally whispered to himself as he pressed a final sequence of keys.

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, a soft hum resonated from the central core, growing louder as the crystalline structure began to glow brighter. The holographic display flared to life, streams of code running across the screens faster than any human eye could follow.

Wally held his breath as the screen blinked, then dimmed. A voice, slightly deeper and more mechanical than Gideon's, echoed from the speakers.

"Initialization complete...Greetings, my liege."

Wally paused for a second at the sound of the AI's choice of words. "Of all things, it had to choose 'liege,'" he muttered with a furrowed brow before refocusing his attention.

Given partial access to the Internet, the AI could have chosen any title demanding respect according to its programming. "Liege" just felt right to it.

The hologram flickered, taking shape. It wasn't as refined as Gideon, but there was a fluidity to its form—a swirling mass of light and data that shifted, morphing from one geometric shape to another. It reminded Wally of storm clouds, constantly moving and evolving.

This was what he had been preparing for weeks, and now, the reward for that patience lay before him.

A figure began to slowly take shape in the holographic display, resembling a middle-aged man dressed in a tuxedo jacket, white shirt, trousers, and so on. It looked like the appearance of a humble butler.

Wally, seeing this, couldn't help but frown slightly. Though he had given the AI freedom to choose certain aspects, such as its appearance and gender, he had secretly hoped for a feminine AI in a more anime-inspired form. But this was fine too, he acknowledged with a sigh.

"What name have you chosen?" Wally asked out of curiosity, closing the compartment to the AI's core.

"I chose the name Alfred."

Wally: "..."

"Odd choice," Wally muttered with a shrug, turning toward his array of monitors and computers, his forehead tingling with mild frustration.

"Alfred, begin renovation. Strip down everything—from the computers, monitors, especially the windows. Leave no reflective surface untouched."

Wally commanded as he walked toward the exit. "You can update me on the progress through this watch," he added, placing his palm on the scanner. The door opened afterward.

"I can't allow the possibility of Eva spying on me," he thought, glancing back at the building. "Alfred, initiate Protocol 6," he muttered, receiving a reply from his watch.

"Protocol initiated." Glancing back at the building, all he saw were trees, moss, and wildlife, allowing the structure to blend perfectly into its surroundings.

Jogging back to Central City, Alfred's voice came through, full of curiosity.

"I am curious about something, my liege," Alfred began.

"Go on," Wally responded, maneuvering through traffic.

"Why the sudden renovation?" the AI asked, making Wally chuckle internally.

"Well, you see, there's someone capable of interacting with reflective surfaces to view events," Wally roughly explained, referring to Eva McCulloch, who had been trapped in the mirror dimension during the particle accelerator explosion. The original her was dead, and what remained was trapped in another dimension, unable to cross without harm and possibly dying.

The goal of the renovation was to eliminate all reflective surfaces, including those on the monitors. They would be rebuilt better and more advanced. It was a win-win.

Another reason for this caution was the fact that he had robbed McCulloch Technologies, taking some light-refractive technology for himself. This was how his building in the Coast City woodlands was able to use high-level cloaking technology, which also enabled Alfred to generate his appearance.

Arriving at Joe's place, Wally found his clone working on his assignments and projects, a smirk forming on his face. He couldn't abandon school just because he had powers. But it wasn't just assignments and projects—the clone was gaining knowledge on how to establish a company.

After hours of thinking of ways to make huge amounts of money, creating his own company was one of the ideas he had settled on, hence why his clone was studying with a grumpy expression.

Hundreds of books lay scattered on the floor, mostly involving management, accounting, and other topics he thought could help him.

"West Tech," he muttered with a smirk. "It always put a smile on my face."

Wally swiftly showered and dressed up in a not-too-casual outfit. Glancing in the mirror, he smiled at his handsome appearance and the hairstyle that brought out his charm even more.

"Alfred, prepare my car," Wally said, admiring himself in the mirror.

Alfred: "..." But my liege, you don't own a car."and

"Well, get me one. Make sure it's not too fancy, but also fancy—just something in between. You can access my finances."

"Ordering... It will arrive in three days," Alfred replied, and Wally just nodded.

"Here I come, my beautiful date," Wally mused aloud, a smile forming on his face.
