Bab 143: Chapter 143: See You From Afar

Jules's sharp rumble echoed intensely inside Barnes's head, freezing him momentarily. His heart was churned from the agony he had endured over all these years, and now Jules's question led him to face the reality that he never knew the answer himself. 

But a small sad smile curved his thin soft lips when Barnes mindlinked his answer, "I don't know, Jules. I don't know what would happen if he remembered me once again. But the only thing I am certain about is…I don't want Master Aiden to hate me… 

"For that to happen, I will be glad if he never retrieves the memory of the past we shared in the first place. But I have made my decision already. Until I am alive, I will not abandon him this time, no matter what happens." 

His determined words made his wolf Jules fall completely silent inside him as he couldn't bring himself to oppose his decision which sounded like an oath upon which Barnes's life depended.
