As soon as the call was disconnected, Kylian slowly lowered his arms holding his phone, sensing as if his body's strength was draining away with the drifting waves that touched his cold bare feet. 

Before walking close to the sea, he was mindful enough to take off his sneakers, since it was the only branded thing Marita could afford to buy for him as a gift before sending him off to the Elite Academy. 

However, knowing that Kylian would definitely refuse to accept such an expensive gift, she had secretly packed it inside his luggage which he came to find out during his train journey. She knew Kylian was always very fond of branded shoes, so she had managed to pick a perfect pair that would suit his liking. 

Even in his shocked and bashful state when he managed to escape from Zenith's room, he had left almost all his luggage behind in his room, but he didn't forget to put on his precious parting gift from Marita.
