Bab 56: Chapter 56: The mastermind

Wu Jinmai's POV

They must have realized that I'm not lying next to my husband. I was about to speak when my husband appeared.

"Where's the empress?!" he roars.

Shanguan Zu Jin was also searching around. I take a seat and watch them as they go back and forth.

"Did you find her?" I ask. Xu Jiaxu and A'Zu stop walking right on each side of me.

They look at me. "Empress?" they both say.

I use my sleeve and wipe off the powder I used to tanne my skin a bit and wave my fingers.

"What is wrong with you, Jin'er!" my husband exclaims.

I laugh and pin my chin on the box. "I just walk around from there and here. By the way, we have to go back to the palace," I remarked.

The two of them sighed. "We have to send someone and ask Li Jin to pick us up," A'Zu says.

I know that he's worried that we'll be assassinated again. I stood up.
