Bab 1: Chapter 1: "The Nation of Disorder"

first of all I want to know your guys opinion on this do you all want the MC to be named Hobart or Hobert also the

Hobart Jeffrey was keenly aware that he had once again entered a dream. In the distance stood a slanted, almost overgrown ancient castle, and an ancient town, picturesque yet abandoned. Strangely, on the ground in the distance were the sun, clouds, and stars. The sky held a vast forest, with enormous trees hanging upside down like stalactites in a cave. Between the sky and the ground, there were mountains standing vertically and a massive clock tower, as if someone had hung these scenes on a giant wall. Everything before him seemed as if this world was inside a box.

For the past month, Hobart frequently found himself in this dream. It was so vivid that he remembered everything clearly upon waking. There was no one here… no, he couldn't say no one. Hobart turned to see the blurry figure that was indeed not far behind him. Every time Hobart had this dream, he encountered this figure. The figure was so indistinct that he couldn't make out its features, only that it had its mouth open, seemingly screaming something. Sometimes Hobart could hear the screams; other times, he couldn't. If he couldn't hear them, he was truly thankful, because the screams would make his entire brain feel like it was boiling, with an overwhelming sense of madness surging from within.

Whenever this happened, Hobart would wake up, struggling to suppress the madness. He once guessed that the figure might be a resident of this place and tried to communicate with it, but every attempt failed. So when Hobart saw the figure, he chose to quickly flee. The figure floated faster than Hobart could run and soon caught up. Hobart smiled bitterly as the figure's roar penetrated his eardrums. The painful turmoil in his brain reappeared. Just as Hobart clenched his teeth, preparing for the waking moment, he understood the figure's scream: "Nation of Disorder... Nation of Disorder..." The figure had been screaming "Nation of Disorder"?

The sealed memories in Hobart's mind were awakened. "Nation of Disorder" was one of the "Sefirots." Hobart stared in astonishment at everything around him. Was this the "Nation of Disorder"? Shouldn't it be in the Western Continent?

Hobart woke up from the dream with a gasp, sitting up abruptly in bed. Outside the window, a red moon hung in the night sky, with the sounds of insects and the breeze rustling through the leaves. It seemed like a peaceful night. Panting heavily, Hobart realized he was drenched in cold sweat and noticed he seemed to have lost an important memory. In the dream, he had understood where the dream world was, but why couldn't he remember? This wasn't the first time he had felt this way. Hobart had transmigrated to this world a month ago.

Before transmigrating, he was an ordinary worker in China who loved reading novels in his free time. After transmigrating, he quickly realized this was the world of "Lord of the Mysteries." He was in the Kingdom of Loen, in its capital Backlund, and the current king was George III. More importantly, Hobart found that after transmigrating, he had gained some Beyonder traits, such as improved eloquence, making it easier to persuade family and friends. But strangely, Hobart inherited almost all memories from the original owner, who hadn't taken any potions or contacted any items with obvious Beyonder characteristics.

Since Hobart's arrival, he had been having these bizarre dreams every two or three days, now almost daily. This puzzled Hobart as he couldn't figure out where these newfound Beyonder traits came from. This was the first strange thing after his transmigration. The second was Hobart's memory loss. He had read "Lord of the Mysteries" several times and knew the early volumes well, but the later volumes were just a vague concept to him. Hobart realized that this memory loss was a form of self-protection. He remembered that at lower levels, certain mystical knowledge could corrupt just by knowing it. But why had he lost these memories?

These thoughts flashed through Hobart's mind as a severe headache struck, as if someone was stirring his brain with a knife. Simultaneously, he felt a mad beast within him trying to tear out of his body. This bout of madness was worse than any before. Hobart fell to the floor, trembling, wanting to scream, destroy everything in the room, and kill everyone in the house. His remaining sanity stopped these thoughts. Struggling against the pain and madness, he recited in Hermes, as clearly as he could:

"Fool who does not belong to this era; "Master of the mysterious above the gray fog; "King of Yellow and Black who wields good luck. "I pray for your help. "I pray for your gaze. "I pray you to help me suppress the endless madness."

This was Hobart's only solution. He suspected his foster father was a Beyonder, but the man had never displayed any powers or mystical knowledge. Hobart didn't dare reveal his state. Compared to his foster father, Hobart trusted the fellow transmigrator Klein more. He knew the "Fool" was compassionate and kind-hearted. It was now early July 1349, and Hobart vaguely remembered that Klein should have already transmigrated and started the Tarot Club somewhere... he couldn't recall the exact place.

This wasn't his first time chanting the Fool's honorific name. He hadn't received a response before. Theoretically, Klein should have assessed him by now. Hobart hoped to catch Klein's attention this time. If this continued, he feared he would go truly mad. After reciting the Fool's honorific name seven or eight times, his sanity began to give way to madness. Just as the madness was about to completely take over, Hobart felt something pulling him through a layer of gray mist, bringing him to a magnificent hall. The madness vanished instantly, and Hobart breathed a sigh of relief.

He was now sitting at an ancient, weathered bronze table, with a mysterious and powerful figure at the end of it. Hobart thought, "Klein, you finally intervened."

Many readers found it strange that Klein would pull a stranger in, given his cautious nature.
