[Ding, the system has detected that the group member 'Red Devil' is about to encounter dimensional invaders. Releasing the group mission!]
[Mission world: The world of Campione!]
[Mission Objective: Prevent all dimensional invaders.]
[Target identities: Villains Chat Group members.]
[Completion reward: 1 million points.]
[Mission participant limit: Unlimited.]
[Bonus mission: Kill the dimensional invaders.]
[Bonus rewards: Points will be granted based on the level of the invaders you kill. First Level (1000 points), Second Level (4000 points), Third Level (20,000 points), Fourth Level (120,000 points), Fifth Level (1 million points), Sixth Level (10 million points), Seventh Level (150 million points), Eighth Level and Ninth Level (Unauthorized)].
[Ashen Witch: Another mission, huh?]
[Fallen Angel Black Cat: Yay! More points!]
[Red Devil: Hmm, has our world also experienced a dimensional change...]
[Iron-Blooded Hot-Blooded Cold-Blooded Vampire: Ka ka ka, aren't you already a change yourself?!]
[Red Devil: Uh, well...]
[Kashiwagi Eri: Alright, let's save the chatting for later. Erica, finish off those two Heretic Gods first. Use the energy I sealed within you and get it over with.]
[Red Devil: Got it!]
Erica had already planned to use the energy that Eriri had infused into her body, but hearing the group mission notification made her pause for a moment. Now, with Eriri's reminder, she quickly refocused her attention on Verethragna and Melqart, preparing for the final showdown.
At this point, Verethragna, wielding his Golden Sword, was only about ten meters away from her, mere seconds from making contact.
Closing her eyes, Erica concentrated her mind, then summoned her sword, Cuore di Leone. She infused the sword with the vast cosmic energy Eriri had given her, turning its silver blade into something otherworldly.
Just as Verethragna's Golden Sword was about to strike, Erica's eyes shot open. With her left hand, she grabbed Verethragna's sword, much to his disbelief. Then, without hesitation, she raised her energy-infused sword and cut him clean in half. His vaunted divine defenses were utterly useless, and before he could utter a final word, Verethragna disintegrated into nothingness.
Without missing a beat, Erica focused the remaining energy in Cuore di Leone, directing it toward Melqart. The God of Storms, who had been stunned by Verethragna's sudden defeat, was utterly terrified when he saw the massive energy blast headed his way.
He had no time to evade or launch a counterattack. All he could do was muster all his divine power to erect layers of defensive barriers. But the attack was unstoppable—each barrier crumbled on contact, and like Verethragna, Melqart vanished without a trace.
The energy slash, still growing in size, continued its trajectory skyward until it disappeared into the clouds.
In just a few seconds, two Heretic Gods had been effortlessly slain by Erica. As the final blow settled, the mysterious Pandora summoned her, and Erica collapsed into the process of becoming a Godslayer.
During her unconscious state, the chat group was as lively as ever, with discussions revolving around the new mission.
[Chika Fujiwara: Wow, the rewards for this mission are huge! It's a hundred times more than the last one! I'm so happy! excited.gif]
[Asuna: At least there's no participation limit this time, so everyone gets a piece of the pie.]
[Arche Eeb Rile Furt: Even if we split it evenly, that's still tens of thousands of points per person. Pretty good.]
[Arche Eeb Rile Furt: Also, did you see the bonus mission rewards? Those are insane! Killing just one Third Level gets you 20,000 points! Not that I'm strong enough to take on a Third Level... sad.gif]
[Fallen Angel Black Cat: Well, even if we can't take on the strong ones, we can farm the First Level invaders, right? I just hope there are enough of them!]
[Ashen Witch: Haha, you farm the First Levels, and we'll go after the Second Levels!]
[Fallen Angel Black Cat: …]
[Flower Hashira: Ah, looks like this mission is going to be a lot tougher than the last one. Otherwise, the rewards wouldn't be so high.]
[Arifureta (Group Leader): Yep, exactly. The enemy group is another chat group organization. Does this mean there are multiple chat groups across all dimensions?]
[Arifureta (Group Leader): Also, calling themselves the 'Villains Chat Group'? Guess they're pretty self-aware of their villainy, huh!]
[Asuna: If they're the 'Villains Chat Group,' that means the members are likely full of ruthless types. Considering the nature of their invasion, they're probably really strong. This mission won't be easy…]
[Kashiwagi Eri: Don't worry. I'll set up defensive barriers on you all, so you can fight however you like.]
[Asuna: Oh, then it's fine.]
[Chika Fujiwara: Oh, then it's fine.]
[Arifureta (Group Leader): Oh, then it's fine.]
[Ashen Witch: Oh, then it's fine.]
[Flower Hashira: Oh, then it's fine.]
[Fallen Angel Black Cat: Oh, then it's fine.]
[…]
Despite the dozens of chat messages, only a few seconds had passed in real-time. Just as Erica finished slaying the Heretic Gods and began her Godslayer transformation, portals to the Campione! world appeared before each of the group members, ready to transport them into the new mission.
Without hesitation, all the members rushed through the portals.
Meanwhile, Sasha Dejanstahl Voban, the eldest of the Godslayers, was speeding toward Sardinia at an incredible pace. The distance of several kilometers took him only a few seconds to cover. But as he arrived, he sensed that the two Heretic Gods' presence had vanished.
That could only mean one thing: a new Godslayer had been born. And what unnerved him even more was the fact that both gods had been slain within seconds of each other, suggesting either two Godslayers or one immensely powerful one.
This revelation filled the Marquis with both unease and anger. He was furious that his prey had been snatched away right before his eyes. For someone like Voban, this was an insult of the highest order.
Fuming, he turned his attention to the strange interface that had appeared in his mind the day before—the interface of the "Villains Chat Group."
Despite being over 300 years old, Voban was no stranger to modern communication tools. He had a basic understanding of what chat groups were. The announcements within this "Villains Chat Group" had made it clear what this was about.
The Villains Chat Group was a collective of villains from across dimensions, a group that used any means necessary to invade worlds and plunder their resources, engaging in transactions to maximize their gains.
Voban had no issue with being labeled a "villain." He never cared about the labels of "good" or "evil." As a tyrannical and self-centered being, he only took what he wanted by force. In fact, the Villains Chat Group's ethos suited him perfectly.
Ever since joining the group, he had learned from the mysterious group leader, The World's Evil, that the arrival of two Heretic Gods was imminent. After confirming the accuracy of this intel, Voban had set his sights on seizing them.
But now that things had changed, his prey was gone, and the situation had deviated from the Villain Group Leader's prediction.
[Oldest Godslayer: Group Leader, your information seems to be off. Just now, the two Heretic Gods on Sardinia have been slain.]
[Heavenly Yaksha: Fufufufu, looks like even the Group Leader can make mistakes.]
[Demon Spider: Hmph, the Group Leader's intel doesn't fail. Thanks to it, I've achieved my current power.]
[The World's Evil: Voban, there's no need to worry. This simply means there's been a change in your world. Based on my experience, a mission is about to trigger, which is a good thing!]
[The World's Evil: Doflamingo, don't forget your promise to me. I expect to see results soon. If not, I might have to step into your world myself. Don't worry, I'm not interested in your resources; my Sixth Level strength has no need for them.]
[Heavenly Yaksha: Fufufufu, no need for that, Group Leader. Rest assured, I'll deliver what you want once this mission is complete.]
[The World's Evil: See that you do.]
[Oldest Godslayer: A group mission, huh? Then I'll wait and see.]
Just as Voban finished his thought, as if on cue, the Villains Chat Group announced the mission.
[Ding, the system has detected an opposing chat group in the world of Campione! Releasing the emergency mission.]
[Mission world: Campione!]
[Mission Objective: Eliminate all enemy chat group members and recover the 'Multiverse Same-Sex ♀ Friendship Group.']
[Target identities: Multiverse Same-Sex ♀ Friendship Group members.]
[Completion reward: 1 million villain points.]
[Participation: Mandatory for all members; failure to comply results in a 10,000-point deduction.]
[Failure penalty: None.]
Hearing the mission announcement, Voban paused. Though proud, he wasn't foolish. The fact that this mission was released so officially indicated the opposing group was no joke. Charging in recklessly would only result in failure.
He decided to wait at the island's perimeter for other members of the Villains Chat Group to arrive before proceeding to Sardinia to confront the person who had stolen his prey.
Back at the crater created by Erica's god-slaying, world portals began to materialize one by one. The members of the All-Worlds Friendship Group soon arrived, gathering around Eriri.
In no time, a crowd of beautiful, strong women surrounded Eriri, with some familiar faces like Gabriel and Sakura immediately flanking her, excited to catch up after a few days apart.
During the chat, Gabriel and Asuna proudly recounted how they had led the players of Sword Art Online in clearing the first ten floors of the game, while Sakura shared how the day of her transfer to the Matou family was rapidly approaching.
Lying on the chair next to Eriri was none other than Erica, who had just successfully completed her transformation into a Godslayer. The aura around her grew stronger by the second until it reached its peak, signifying the completion of Pandora's Godslayer ritual.
Erica had officially become a Godslayer, now a formidable Fifth Level powerhouse, ranked just below Eriri and Lala within the chat group.
A moment later, Erica slowly opened her eyes. Seeing all the familiar faces around her, she excitedly greeted them and sat up from the chair.
Turning toward Eriri, still lounging beside her, Erica asked, "By the way, Eriri-sama, how long was I asleep?"
In the Netherworld, there was no sense of time, and she had no idea how long the Godslayer ritual had taken. To her, it felt like she had spent hours chatting with Pandora, but in reality, it had only been a short while.
Thanks to the chat group, she had retained all her memories from the ritual—a small but significant perk.
