Bab 51: SHADOWS ON THE HORIZON

Two days later, the storm arrived.

It was early morning when the call came. Olivia was in their private quarters, feeding Gabriel his breakfast, when one of the younger wolves burst through the door, his face pale with fear.

"Luna," he panted, his eyes wide. "There's been an attack on the southern border. A large group of rogue wolves—they've breached our patrols. Alpha Antonio has already gone to meet them with a defensive force, but they're outnumbered. The elders sent me to fetch you."

Olivia's heart clenched in her chest, her mind racing as the words sank in. An attack—finally, the rogue wolves had made their move. And Antonio had already gone to meet them.

Her instincts kicked in immediately. Handing Gabriel over to the caretaker who had rushed in behind the young wolf, she straightened her posture, her mind sharp despite the fear gnawing at her.
