We eventually slept off – I and Bale.

After confessing my feelings to him the previous night, he kept smiling as we talked a bit more, before falling asleep.

I watched him sleep, before closing my eyes. Only to open my eyes and he was gone. I was staring at an empty bed.

The space he occupied the previous night was empty with the sheets slightly ruffled as I lay on the large bed completely dazed.

My Alpha left me in bed. Again!

Without even bothering to call out his name, I shuffled my feet up to my chest, wrapping my arms around them as the left side of the large top I wore slid off my shoulder, exposing my collarbone.

Completely unbothered, I allowed my eyes to do a quick survey around the room, regretting it when my heart began its usual thudding.
