Bab 64: Chapter 65

Vladimir:

Never in my life did I find myself feeling as cruel as I did today.

The fact that I knew that Audrey trusted me with everything that she had and yet I did not deserve her trust broke my heart. And it was for the first time in my life that I found myself feeling stupid.

She lay on my bed sleeping peacefully, choosing not to go to her room today, knowing that I couldn't sleep. Despite the fact that she was the fact who was in pain, she chose to amend my pain despite not knowing what the reason behind it was.

The way she looked at me, the way she wrapped her arms around me, held me to her chest to run her fingers through my hair, I found myself feeling smaller and Dumber than I ever did before.

I slowly got up from bed, careful not to wake her up, knowing that she barely got enough sleep. This was the first night of content sleep that she had since Marge died.
