I couldn't help the blush that formed on my cheeks as I looked at Vladimir who pulled away to look me in the eye.

He ran his fingers over my cheeks, making my heart skip a beat. My chest ached, and I shook my head in fear as I didn't know what would happen.

"I know that I put you through a tough situation, and I understand that you are upset with me, and that you don't want to find yourself in a tough situation. I understand that this was not the way that you would have wanted me to marry you." He said, his voice softening as he looked me in the eye. "I don't want you to be in pain, nor do I want to hurt you. But I want you as my wife and I don't want you to think because we're married, something is going to change. I give you my word, I won't touch or do anything that you wouldn't consent, I promise you that, Audrey."
