Bab 106: Dirty little secret

As the monkey screeched at it the energy of the female changed and it was like her aura got darker in the instant that the baby monkey showed itself.

His inner golden wolf resurfaced and spoke its opinion clearly in Lithe's mind.

Not human, some kind of shifter it said sniffing the air around the female, hmm… not wolf nor bear either then it recoiled in disgust, it's a freaking snake, it screamed in Lithe's head.

Now it made sense why the baby monkey was jumping up and down on top of Zen's head in alarm. 

Just like any other predator monkeys loathed snakes, it's like something innate and flowing in their blood to be afraid of snakes.

The little monkey had suffered so much trauma that it wasn't impossible that he had seen members from his own monkey tribe dying from the toxic bites of snakes in the forbidden forest.
