Just as Jacquelyn had read in her books, the gala night was even better in real life. She couldn't believe that it was a person's manor that had been decorated to look like paradise. It was too beautiful to be real. She had thought her father's palace was the grandest hall, but it wasn't. The room she stood in had a marble floor covered with transparent crystal blue tiles that looked as if one were standing in the ocean. Beneath it were golden depictions of different sea creatures, making Jacquelyn wonder how long it took the architect to create such a perfect design.
