Bab 42: Marked

Kael grunted, beginning to get annoyed with how slow he was at the moment. He couldn't wait to heal and go back to wreak chaos on those witches who dared to do something to his body.

"Take my blood," Jacquelyn suggested again. She had never seen the vampire look like this. His skin looked paler than usual, and his bright golden eyes were now dull. It really worried her.

Kael groaned, "Your blood? You really are a careless little girl, aren't you?" He smiled, coughing up more blood.

Jacquelyn rubbed her neck clean, coming closer to Kael. "Take my blood; you need blood, right?"

Seeing the veins on the girl's neck, Kael felt the urge to sink his fangs in. He knew he would drain the last bit of her blood until there was nothing left. His hunger had increased, and the corners of his eyes now darkened.
