Bab 37: Missing Bride

Watching the girl vanish with the witch, Kael decided it was for the best. The princess was finally out of his life after sticking so close to him for so long. He inhaled deeply, though he was still very curious about the princess. She intrigued him more than any human he had ever come across, and he wanted to know more about her. There had never been a boring moment since she came into his life. But Kael had lived for too long, and he knew nothing ever lasted, especially the fragile souls of mortals.

"It was fun while it lasted," he shrugged, turning his back to leave the market. His steps were casual, unbothered by the things happening around him.

When he got to the tea house, he pushed the door open and walked inside. Looking around the empty place that had only two patrons despite its grand appearance, Kael removed his jacket and hung it on his arm instead of the jacket hanger by the side.
