Bab 148: Begin

Erik, Mia, and Liam wasted no time preparing for their journey. Their resolve was firm already but the weight of saying goodbye to their families hung heavily on their hearts.

Erik's mother listened quietly as he explained their mission. His mom's brow furrowed in worry and her eyes glistened with unshed tears. Just like every mother would when she knew her son will once again embark on a dangerous journey.

"Do you have to go again so soon?" his mom asked.

Erik knelt before her, placing a steady hand on her shoulder. "I do, mom. This isn't just about me anymore. It's about something bigger and I have to do it to protect everyone, including you."

His mother nodded, though her lips pressed into a thin line. "I don't like it, Erik, but I understand. You're not just my son anymore. you're a hero now. Just... I want you come back to me again, no matter what."

"I will," Erik promised with determination.
