It was still midday, and the sun highlighted the chaos taking place in the dark forest.

Blaze was still surrounded by the wall of flame, bleeding profusely, praying fervently that Rowan would act in time.

The forty-plus wolves gathered around the wall of flame, ready to tear Blaze apart.

The pack leader could be seen approaching Blaze coldly, a strong killing intent radiating from its glowing red eyes.

Blaze shivered uncontrollably; he hadn't felt this fearful since the Ratax attack. At this moment, Blaze felt that death was closer to him than survival.

Blaze braced himself to engage even though he knew it was futile.

*GROWL*

The pack leader let out a cold growl as it drew closer, its eyes fixed on Blaze and the wall of flame, failing to notice the phenomenon taking place behind.

The other wolves stepped aside obediently as their leader drew closer.
