Bab 17: Chapter 17: Silence Her with a Kiss

"Injured? Me? HAH!" Gale snorted. He lifted his chin arrogantly and claimed, "There is nobody stronger than me in this world. A mere dozens of weak beastmen won't be able to scathe me."

"But…" Swan lowered her head. She still noticed the grimace on his face, as if he was truly enduring a lot of pain. 

However, it was true that he was the strongest, especially when she witnessed that giant wolf who leaped into the palace's yard. 

Did she read too much into it? Maybe he was truly fine, and she was just overthinking. 

Gale had been watching her reaction the whole time, and he saw that she looked hurt and sad.

So he pointed it out, "You are worrying over nothing. I am unbeatable, and I will be the King of Beasts forever."

"Mm… I'm sorry…" Swan muttered. "I thought that you were enduring a lot of pain. Your face says it. But maybe I'm just overthinking."
