Bab 65: First instinct was to kill?

Medea took a deep breath as she sat up, her gaze sweeping over the clearing with a sense of satisfaction. "Well... It's about time I left that godforsaken prison," she murmured in a mix of relief and lingering irritation. 

She stretched her limbs as if she hadn't just been in a life-or-death battle moments ago.

Adrian, still reeling from the intensity of their fight, fell back onto the ground, his chest heaving as he released a breath he didn't realize he was holding. 

The exhaustion weighed heavily on him, both physically and mentally, as the adrenaline slowly drained from his body. 

He glanced up at Medea, still trying to process everything that had just happened.

"So your first instinct was to kill the first person you saw in sight?" Adrian asked, his voice tinged with both frustration and disbelief.
