Atlan was shaking hands with a Canzer!

Carmine and the rest of the Specialist Operators back in the Emergency meeting room practically had their jaws on the ground as they saw it happening live on the screen. They thought it would take hours if not days before any of them could approach the Canzer without it scurrying off in the distance. They practically expected it to take at least three days before Atlan could earn the Canzer's trust.

But who would have thought that Atlan would be able to earn the Canzer's trust in just a few seconds?

Even though it was shy and still a bit apprehensive of Atlan, it was still shaking hands with him as if it understood that he was not the enemy.

They thought this was impossible. It was practically hard-wired in humans and Canzers that they were eternal enemies. Earning the trust of each other shouldn't be this easy.
