Damon stood still in front of the full-length mirror and looking at the man who was looking back at him.

The reflection wore a sharp, dark blue suit that fit him perfectly and showed off his athletic build.

The crisp white shirt under the suit went well with his skin tone, and the simple silver tie made him look more put-together.

He adjusted the cuffs, the smooth fabric of the suit unfamiliar under his fingers.

Damon wasn't used to dressing like this. Fights and training didn't require polished shoes or perfectly pressed jackets.

For a moment, he barely recognized the man in the mirror.

The person looking back at him seemed calm, sure of himself, and like a pro.

He put on a smooth front, but Damon could still feel the kid he used to be.

He let out a slow breath, running a hand through his hair, which was neatly styled for the occasion.

Aoife walked into the room, her steps light as she spotted Damon by the mirror.
