A massive Fleshly Tree burst through the ground beneath the Consulate, its wildly proliferating blood-flesh roots filled the entire architectural space of the Consulate in an instant, then broke through the windows to extend outwards, emitting billowing black smoke under the sunlight.

"What on earth did you do?"

Wang Yunxiao and Veronica clung to each other as they fled through the window. The handguns they were carrying were completely ineffective against such a massive creature, even less effective than the direct sunlight.
