"I have news, Lily. Good news." Lucifer Morningstar emerged out from the ground in Lilith's furnished chambers. He erupted out from the grey floors of her bedroom, rising like a wraith from a cemetery; he was soundless in his ascent, save his words. The devil didn't use the door. Why would he?

"What news, bright one?"

Lilith easily disentangled herself from her favorite lover, Giselle Van Imperia, the former queen. The faerie blinked and touched her golden hair on the great bed, naked she was amidst the luxurious white sheets. Giselle softly stroked Lilith's body, her fingers tracing the demoness's flawless skin as Lucifer moved forward for the bed. Lilith sat up on the linens as he dragged in a chair, while Giselle quietly listened in on their conversation.
