Bab 40: Antidote

Name's Stark. I'm an assassin.

Those were the only words that stood out to Conrad. The man was tall with short silver hair, his expression had shifted into a wide, unnerving grin. He could tell by the animosity in those blue eyes, that Stark was serious.

'Who is this guy?'

Connie swallowed hard. His body stiffened, ready to go on the defensive.

He didn't know how to react to other assassins outside of Sardes. The only two he had ever encountered showed hostility. But with them, the situation called for it.

'Is he really an assassin?'
